Polyurethane Rollers Manufacturing Guide

Polyurethane Rollers Manufacturing Guide

ROLLER FABRICATION & REPAIR

Solid core or DOM tube construction. Idler rolls – spring loaded, retaining pins, or keeper bars.

Lite or heavy gage wall construction. Stub ends or thru shaft construction.

Roll body and journal repair. Re-moveable shafts. MIG welding; Metalizing; Press fit journal repair sleeves.

ROLLER BALANCING

Static or dynamic balancing.

POLYURETHANE ROLLER DYNAMICS

Polyether or polyester blends; polyether/polyester combinations with no fillers or additives.

Polyurethane formulations with heat resistant properties for enhanced roller performance in high speed load bearing applications.

Designed to minimize roller deflection.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Exceptional high shear urethane bonding to base metal insures an extended roller operational life.

Available in nylon type hardness, up to 65 shore D for extreme cut resistant requirements. Soft durometers, as low as 30 shore A with enhanced cut resistant properties for highly abrasive applications.

70 Shore A Formulations:

High coefficient of friction. Soft enough for increase tracking and grip, yet able to provide cut and tear resistance with minimal wear.

80 Shore A Formulations:

Provides maximum abrasion resistance. Can be used as a feed, drive or tracking roll in the conveying of varied substrates—metal, paper, plastic.

90 Shore A Formulations:

Enhanced cut and tear resistance when used in high impact, load bearing applications
